The explanation of this installation process is based on the assumption that the entire CAP unit
has been properly put together, installed and set up, as described in this installation manual.
The safety instructions in the detailed operating manual for the UFS 940sw must also be followed!
INSTALLATION PROCESS
POLARISATION SETTING
To dismantle/install the planar antenna from the turntable, proceed as follows: (The key names refer to the
remote control for the UFS 940sw receiver)
1. Turn on the receiver at the main switch at the rear of the unit.
2. Press any of the numeric buttons to bring the receiver into operating mode.
3. If
necessary,
fi
rst perform a
fi
rst installation.
4. Wait until the message “Position of Astra is not known. Start Search?” is displayed – cancel this
procedure by pressing the
button.
5. Press
the
(green) button.
6. Use
the
buttons to move to the “Antenna Con
fi
guration” menu item. Con
fi
rm the selection by
pressing the
button.
7. Use
the
buttons to move to the “to move the antenna manually” menu item. Con
fi
rm the
selection by pressing the
button.
8. Now use the numeric keys on the remote control to enter “400” in the “Elevation” line. Shortly after
the value has been input, the turntable moves to the desired elevation angle.
9. Turn off the UFS 940sw using the main switch at the rear and disconnect it from the power.
ON THE TURNTABLE
10. Unscrew the antenna fastening screws on the turntable with a suitable hexagon key (size 5),
see photograph on the right.
11. Carefully lift the antenna off the turntable and exchange the slot for the rubber bushing with cable
and the relevant dummy bushing (depending on the direction you want to move the antenna).
