Use with Optical Devices
(This applies to all devices with a TOSLINK optical audio output. Note that since YUMI is
not a surround sound system, you must be able to set your optical output on the device
to 2 channel output, or YUMI will not recognize the input. If you cannot set the device to 2
channel audio, most such devices will also have either a mini-jack or RCA output connections
as well, so these can be used instead.)
Many digital media devices and set-top boxes have an optical (sometimes called TOSLINK)
audio output . YUMI can accept connections from two of these devices, as shown below .
Connect an optical audio cable from the Optical Out of your device to either OPT1 or OPT2
connections on YUMI .
Press the OPT1 or OPT2 button on the remote (or cycle through inputs by pressing the volume
knob on the front of YUMI) and you will be able to listen to your device on YUMI .
