KTES-CAM

KTES Covert Color Camera Kit

                                                                                                      

                                                     

Installation Procedure 

1. Introduction 

The covert camera is an optional accessory. It can be installed in the KTES to provide tenants the ability to see who is at an entrance from a 
selected cable station on their television (extra equipment required for that not included in this kit). 

2. Specifications 

  9-14 Vdc, 110 mA 

  NTSC (model KTES-CAM-N) or PAL (model KTES-CAM-P) video output 

  1 Vp-p 75 Ohms Composite on female BNC connector 

3. 

Installing the Covered Camera Module 

3.1. Unpacking 

The camera module package includes the following parts: 

  One (1) camera mounted on its bracket, one (1) cable adapter for power and video signal (BNC male connector), one (1) power cable, 

two Lexan polycarbonate sheets (one spare) and one (1) installation sheet. 

3.2. Mounting 

The covert camera is installed inside the KTES cabinet, in the inner upper left side of the front cover panel door.  

Perform the following steps to mount the camera: 

1. 

Remove the nuts at each end of the protection 

plate located inside the enclosure front cover, 

and remove it (Figure 1). Keep the nuts for step 

5 (wiring). 

2. 

Peel off the protection film from the Lexan and 

install it (item 1). 

3. 

Align the camera bracket holes with the front 

panel studs (Figure 2). 

Note:

 Do not secure the screws at this step. 

3.3. Wiring 

Ensure that all power (AC mains and battery) is 
disconnected from the KTES.

 

 

Perform the following steps to complete wiring: 

1. 

Connect the adapter cable to the power end of 

the camera board adapter cable (red 

connector). 

2. 

Connect the other end of this cable to the 

auxiliary power output of the KTES. The wire 

with the white line is the positive side of the 

power supply and should be connected to the 

AUX+ terminal. The other wire should be 

connected to the AUX- terminal. 

3. 

Connect the BNC end of the camera board 

adapter cable to your video system. 

4. 

Adjust the camera lens with the enclosure’s pin-hole. 

5. 

Secure the screws with the nuts (2X). 

 

Note: 

An external power supply can also be used with the camera.
