4. The LED on the Mini Drive should light up red to indicate a powered
connection. Check to make sure the drive is recognized by your system.
PC users:
A removable drive icon will appear in My Computer.
Mac users:
A disk drive icon will appear on the desktop.
If the drive does not appear on your system, please contact Kanguru
Solutions’ Technical Support for troubleshooting.
5. The Kanguru Mini Drive operates just as any other removable drive would
on your operating system. To begin using the drive, double click on the
drive icon to view the drive contents. While the drive is in use, the LED
indicates the drive is transferring data.
CAUTION!
Do not remove the Kanguru Mini Drive during data transfer or
data loss may occur. See the section below for proper removal
instructions.
Disconnecting the Drive:
DO NOT remove the drive during data transfer. If the LED is Red, then the drive
is still transferring data.
Mac users:
Drag the Mini Drive icon to the trash before removing the drive from
the system.
Windows Me/2000/XP users:
Click on the green
Remove Hardware
icon on the
right side of the taskbar and select the Kanguru Mini Drive to safely remove the
drive.
NOTE:
If you do not properly remove the drive from your system, then you may
have to reboot your computer in order for the drive to be recognized again.
Windows 98SE users:
Windows 98SE does not have a drive removal utility, so
you can simply pull the drive out of the USB port to remove is from the operating
system.
