Accumulator, checking

1 Start the engine and let it idle for approx. 1 minute (until the ac-

cumulator charging valve switches to cooling).

2 Turn off the engine and turn the start key to position I.

3 Apply and release the brake several times, and count the

number of times that the brake can be applied before the warn-
ing light for low brake pressure is activated.

It should be possible to apply the brake 8 times before the
warning light for low brake pressure is activated.

If the warning light for low brake pressure is activated, one of
the brake system's accumulators is probably defective and
these should therefore be checked further.
