Persephone Trip Lever
INSTALL THE TRIP LEVER (cont’d)
Remove the tank cover from the toilet.
Insert the trip arm of the trip lever into the toilet tank hole. Ensure that the “UP” indicator on the trip lever
escutcheon is pointing up (as shown).
Install the spacer over the trip arm so the “UP” indicator on the spacer is pointing upward and is visible (as
shown).
Secure the trip lever assembly with the locknut. Note that the locknut has left-hand threads.
Do not overtighten the locknut, or the trip lever will not move freely. If the assembly binds, loosen the
locknut slightly until free movement is achieved.
Hook the flapper ball chain to the hole in the trip arm. Check for proper chain length, and adjust as needed.
Note: The chain should have some slack in it when the trip lever is at rest.
Check for smooth operation and flush actuation. Trip arm movement should be free of interference. The
trip lever should be vertical when at rest.
Replace the tank cover.
