Initital use
Check that the device and accessories are complete prior to initiation
(see "scope of delivery", page 31).
Inserting / changing batteries
•
Push the lid of the battery compartment in the direction of the arrows
and remove the batteries.
•
Insert the lithium ion accumulator provided (contacts together).

Make sure that the polarity of the accumulator is correct in order to
prevent damage.
•
Close the battery cover by pushing the lid back until it locks in place
and the lid is firmly positioned.

Remove the batteries / accumulators if the device is not going to be
used for a long time to prevent damage caused by leaking batteries /
accumulators.
The battery status symbol
indicates the charge of the accumulator.
Top up the device with electricity using the charging cable if the accu-
mulator is empty, otherwise the camera will switch off if the accumula-
tor charge is low after 10 seconds.
Inserting the SD card
•
Open the cover at the side and insert the SD card until it clicks into
place. Close the cover.
•
To remove the SD card, press it down firmly. The card will pop out
slightly and can then be removed.
The SD card must be formatted so that the CarDVR can access it.
Protective films
•
Open the display and remove the protective film.
•
Remove the protective film from the lens and the suction cup on the
bracket.
