The new setting will be saved if you
press the "Small cup" button for at least 3
seconds. All buttons will blink once briefly
to confirm.

First switch the appliance off by pres-
sing the ON/OFF button.

Press the "Small cup" button and the
ON/OFF button simultaneously. The water
hardness currently set will be displayed
(see table above).
To change the setting, press the "Small
cup" button until the correct symbol
combination is illuminated.

Before setting the water
hardness on your appliance,
you should find out what hardness
your drinking water has. Please enquire
about this from your water supplier.

1. To cancel programming,
please press the ON/OFF

2. The water hardness you set influ-
ences the descaling intervals. The ap-
pliance will show you when descaling
is required. In this case, the rinsing
button blinks red every time you prepa-
re a drink. Please refer to pages 22-24
for descaling.
