Press TEST to check the speakers output

“TEST L” starts flashing on the display, and a test tone comes out
of the speakers as follows:

Adjust the following speaker output levels
(from –10 dB to +10 dB).
• Make adjustments so that the sound level of the selected
speaker is set at the same level as that of the front speakers.
To adjust the center speaker level,
press /–.
To adjust the left surround speaker level,
press SURR L +/–.
To adjust the right surround speaker level,
press SURR R +/–.
Ex.: When selecting “+8 (dB)” for “CENTER.”

Press TEST again to stop the test tone.
The currently selected source name appears on the display.

There is a time limit in doing the following steps. If the setting is
canceled before you finish, start from step

Select and play software you like.
If “AUTO SR (Auto Surround)” is set to “ON”
Playing a digital source automatically activates an appropriate
Surround mode. (See page 20.)

MULTI JOG now works for the Surround/DSP mode selection.

Turn MULTI JOG to select a appropriate Surround
mode.

When playing back multi-channel digital software such as
Dolby Digital or DTS Digital Surround:
When playing back 2 channel digital software such as
Dolby Digital or DTS Digital Surround:
When playing back any software other than above:

Press ADJUST.

to set appears on the display, then press SET.
