Precaution for use
Hard Disk Drive
■
Installation and Changing the Location of Installation
• Do not move the recorder or commence the installation process when the power is turned on or immediately after the power
has been switched off (for approximately one minute) under any circumstances. (The hard disk drive will continue to rotate due
to inertia for a few moments after the power has been switched off, and vibrations or physical shocks will result in damage.)
• Wrap the recorder in protecting packing to prevent physical shocks.

Handling
• Handle this equipment with care. Do not subject it to physical shock.
• Do not switch off the power switch on the rear panel or unplug the power cord during recording or playback, or when the hard
disk drive is being accessed.
It will result in damage.
It is recommended that a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) is used to ensure the system safety.
• The hard disk drive is a consumable item.
Replacement is recommended after 10,000 hours of use (if use in a 25°C environment). For information on maintenance
planning and costs, consult your nearest JVC dealer.
Search and Backup Operation
• A longer time may be required to search or backup through data stored in this equipment if the volume is too huge
(approximately 10,000 or more). This is not a defect.
External Hard Disk Drive
• When the hard disk drive is extended, it is recommended that a UPS
(Uninterruptible Power Supply) is used to ensure the system safety.
* Consult with your nearest JVC dealer for details on the UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) that can be used.
