Causes
An error occurs while playing a
CD or an MD.
You have inserted a blank disc.
You have pressed MD/CD when
there was no CD or MD inside
the unit.
You have pressed DISP with a
disc for which no name was
assigned.
The temperature inside the unit
becomes very high.
The connectors are dirty.
Preset adjustments have been
lost or damaged due to noise
interference etc.
The built-in microcomputer may
function incorrectly due to noise,
etc.
Remedies
Press
0
, then reinsert the disc.
Insert a recorded MD.
Insert a CD or an MD.
Assign a name to the disc.
Switch the source to the tuner
and wait until the temperature
decreases.
Clean the connectors
periodically (once a month).
Contact the shop where you
have purchased the unit or a
service center.
• Press the reset button on the
front panel. (See page 4.)
• Press
and SEL at
the same time for more than 2
seconds to reset the unit. (The
clock setting and preset
stations stored in memory are
erased.)
Symptoms
• “DISC ERROR” appears on
the display.
• “BLANK DISC” appears on
the display.
• “NO DISC” appears on the
display.
• “NO NAME” appears on the
display.
• “HIGH TEMP” appears on the
display.
• Nothing appears on the
display.
• “NO PRE ADJ.” appears on
the display.
• The unit does not work at all.
