The surround mode changes as follows 
each time the buttons are pressed.

DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MUSIC:

Choose when surround speakers are 
connected.

This mode is for use with any stereo 
music recordings, and provides a wide 
and deep sound space.

• Set the surround settings in advance 

(see “Surround settings (Dolby Pro 

Logic II)” on page 17).

DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE:

Choose when surround speakers are 
connected.
Movie programmes with Dolby* Surround 

sound are heard with 5.1ch surround 
sound.

• Set the surround settings in advance 

(see “Surround settings (Dolby Pro 
Logic II)” on page 17).

DOLBY VIRTUAL:

Choose when surround speakers (sold 

separately) are not connected.
Programmes with stereo sound and 
Dolby* Surround sound are heard with a 

surround effect using only the TV speaker

SURROUND OFF:

Choose when you want to stop the 
surround effect.

• The surround mode can also be chosen 

and set from the SOUND menu (see 
page 26).

DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE.

Set the volume for the left speaker.

CENTRE:

Set the volume for the centre speaker.

RIGHT:

Set the volume for the right speaker.
