3.2.2 ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY OF CABINET PARTS AND ELECTRICAL PARTS

z

 Disassembly procedure

NOTE1:

When removing the BOTTOM COVER ASSY, open and pull
up the COVER (SD).

NOTE2:

Pull out the GRIP BELT from the hook and leave it released
before removing the HDD COVER ASSY.

NOTE3a:

During the procedure, be careful in handling the parts. Pay
special attention not to give any external shock to the HDD.

NOTE3b:

When the HDD is replaced, be sure to refer to REPLACING
HDD in "SECTION2 SPECIFIC SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS"
for the procedure after HDD replacement.

NOTE3c:

Be careful as the GELS at the four corners are easily come
off when the HDD is removed from the main unit. If the
GELS come off, be sure to attach them in the correct direc-
tion shown in the figure.
Attach the GELS with their HOLES on the same side of the
connector.

NOTE3d:

When connecting the FPC to the connector, insert the FPC
straight into the connector. When locking the connector, be
careful not to give so much load that it bends the board.

NOTE3e:

In this procedure, the FPC connected to the HDD connector
is not removed. If the FPC is removed due to broken wire,
be careful in attachment direction. Be sure to connect the
STOPPER side to the HDD.
Pay attention as wrong attachment could damage the HDD.

NOTE3f:

Be careful with the wiring.

NOTE5:

When attaching, be sure to fit the two positioning studs in the
holes.

NOTE8:

During the procedure, do not touch the terminals (elec-
trodes).

NOTE9a:

When attaching, be careful with the wiring (MIC).

NOTE9b:

Rfer to 3.2.3 ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY OF [9] FRONT
ASSY of FRONT ASSY
.

NOTE10:

When attaching, be careful with the wiring (MIC).

NOTE11a:

When removing the screw No.30, open the MONITOR AS-
SY, and then remove the screw paying attention not to dam-
age the screen.

NOTE11b:

When removing, release the connector lock, and then pull
out the FPC together with the UPPER ASSY.

NOTE12a:

During the procedure, be careful to avoid electric shock.

NOTE12b:

When removing, be careful not to break the parts as the
hooks behind the STROBE ASSY make removal difficult.

NOTE15a:

During the procedure, be careful in handling the parts

NOTE15b:

Refer to 3.2.5 DISASSEMBLY OF [15] OP BLOCK ASSY/
CCD BOARD ASSY of
 OP BLOCK ASSY.

NOTE16a:

When removing, remove the screw No.43 first to release the
FPC, and then pull out the FPC from the connector.

NOTE16b:

During the procedure, be careful not to damage the parts.

NOTE16c:

When attaching, be careful with the wiring.

NOTE17:

When attaching, be careful with the wiring.

NOTE18:

Refer to 3.2.4 DISASSEMBLY OF [18] MONITOR ASSY of
MONITOR ASSY.
