3.1.13.2 Removing the CD changer mechanism board
(See Fig.35 to 37)
• Prior to performing the following procedure, remove the CD
changer mechanism assembly.
Caution:
Make sure to solder the short-circuit point on the CD pickup
board before disconnecting the card wire connected to con-
nector
CN101
on the CD changer mechanism board and the
CD pickup board. If you do not follow this instruction, the pick-
up may be damaged.
(1) From the bottom of the CD changer mechanism assembly,
disconnect the card wire from connector
CN451
and
CN201
, and disconnect the wire from connector
CN452
and
CN453
on the CD changer mechanism board, respec-
tively.
(2) Remove the three screws

attaching the CD changer
mechanism holder.
(3) Unsolder the short-circuit point on the CD pickup board as
attached to the CD changer mechanism.
(4) Disconnect the card wire from connector on the CD pickup
board.
(5) From the bottom of the CD changer mechanism, remove
the two screws

attaching the CD changer mechanism
board.
Caution:
To reattach the CD changer mechanism board, connect the
card wire to connector
CN101
on the CD mechanism board
and the CD pickup board before unsoldering the short-circuit
point.
