Set the following functions (A to D) 
correctly depending on the speakers you 
want to use

A: SPEAKER function

Stop the sound from being emitted from the TV
speakers.
Correctly perform the settings in accordance with
“SPEAKER” on page 21.

B: TV SPEAKER function  (Only AV32P10EK
and AV32P10EI)

When using the 3D-PHONIC function or DOLBY
DIGITAL function, all the TV speakers work as centre
speakers.
Correctly perform the settings in accordance with 
“3D-PHONIC setting” on page 24 and “DOLBY DIGITAL
setting” on page 24.

Note that the function explained here is different to the
TV SPEAKER function in the HEADPHONE menu.

When the TV SPEAKER function in either one of the
3D-PHONIC menu or DOLBY DIGITAL menu is set,
the other is automatically set.

C: SUBWOOFER function  (Only AV32P10EK
and AV32P10EI)

When using the 3D-PHONIC function or the DOLBY
DIGITAL function, the SUBWOOFER function makes
the low freaqueney effects (LFE) included in 5.1-channel
Dolby Digital surround sound more effective.
Correctly perform the settings in accordance with
“SUBWOOFER (Only AV32P10EK and AV32P10EI)” on
page 22, “3D-PHONIC setting” on page 24 and “DOLBY
DIGITAL setting” on page 24.

When the SUBWOOFER function in any one of the
SOUND SETTING menu, 3D-PHONIC menu or
DOLBY DIGITAL menu is set, the others are
automatically set.

If you set TV SPEAKER (B) to CENTRE or OFF, the
sound from the subwoofer can be heard only when
listening to the Dolby Digital sound with the Low
Frequency effect (LFE). 
If you want to hear sound from the subwoofer every
time, set TV SPEAKER to L/C/R.

D: REAR SPEAKER function (Only AV32P10EK
and AV32P10EI)

When the DOLBY DIGITAL function is used Dolby
Digital programme surround sound is emitted from the
surround speakers.
Correctly perform the settings in accordance with
“DOLBY DIGITAL setting” on page 24.

Note that you cannot use the DOLBY DIGITAL function
to enjoy surround sound if the REAR SPEAKER
function is turned OFF.

Do you use the front speaker system?

In cases where you do not want to hear sound from the
TV speakers set B (TV SPEAKER) to OFF.

Do you use the subwoofer system?
(Only AV32P10EK and AV32P10EI)

Do you use the surround speakers? 
(Only AV32P10EK and AV32P10EI)

By using the

 buttons on the TV remote control

or the buttons on the TV, the volume of all the
speakers including those of the additional audio
equipments can be adjusted together.

If the volume of the TV speakers is different to the
volume of the front speaker system or subwoofer
system, adjust the volume of each amplifier to match
that of the TV speakers.
