Alexa is a digital virtual assistant developed by Amazon. You can ask Alexa 
to play music, get weather reports, traffic information, control smart home 
devices, shop on Amazon, search the internet, set reminders and more.

Preparation:

•  Create an account in <https://www.amazon.com/>.
•  Install the latest version of the Alexa mobile application on your device, 

then log in through Alexa mobile application.

  -  You can also sign up in Alexa mobile application.
•  Be sure to enable internet connection on your smartphone.

 Setup for the first time

For Android device

Pair your device with this unit via Bluetooth. (Page 13)

Start up the Alexa mobile application on your device.

3 

Search and select the name of your receiver (“KD-T812BT”) to 
complete a one-time setup process.

For iPhone/iPod touch

1 

Pair your device with this unit via Bluetooth. (Page 13)

2 

Start up the Alexa mobile application on your device.

3 

Press   on the unit to enter ALEXA source.

 

•  You may also press 

B

 SRC repeatedly to select iPod BT source.

Search and select the name of your receiver (“KD-T812BT”) to 
complete a one-time setup process.

Once the setup process is completed, the Alexa mobile application will 
establish a connection with this unit.

•  The Alexa connection can be disconnected if:
  – A2DP profile is disconnected
  – Bluetooth is disconnected
  – This unit is turned off
  – Any other conditions depending on the connected device.
  To establish Alexa connection again, reconnect the A2DP profile.
•  Alexa connection cannot be established again if you:
  – Reinstall Alexa mobile application
  – Delete the paired device and perform pairing again (for Android device)
  To establish Alexa connection again, perform the setup process again.
•  You can check the Alexa connection from the Alexa mobile application.
  If the name of this unit appears on the screen of “ALL DEVICES”, you do not 

need to perform setup process again.
