3. If the AC power source outlet has a power switch, set it to the OFF (0) position.
4. Insert the power cord plug into an AC power source outlet.
5. If the AC power source outlet has a power switch, set it to the ON (|) position.
6. Verify that the Power LED on the power supply is lit and is on steadily.
7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for the second power supply.

Connecting DC Power to an XRE200 External Routing Engine
After you have installed a DC power supply in an XRE200 External Routing Engine, you connect the external
Routing Engine to DC power.
WARNING: Before performing DC power procedures, ensure that power is removed
from the DC circuit. To ensure that all power is off, locate the circuit breaker on the
panel board that services the DC circuit, switch the circuit breaker to the OFF position,
and tape the switch handle of the circuit breaker in the OFF position.
