MX2010 Modular Port Concentrator Description
The Modular Port Concentrators (MPCs) provides packet forwarding services. The MPCs install into an
adapter card, which in turn connects to the backplane. Modular Interface Cards (MICs) provide the physical
interfaces and install into the MPCs. The user can install up to two MICs of different media types on the
same MPC as long as the MPC supports those MICs.
NOTE:
The MX2010 router also supports fixed-port MPCs.
