The product runs a self-test when batteries are inserted The status lights flash once in
sequence, from the light for 12 V to the light for 400 V The test is finished when all the status
lights go off If the self-test is not carried out, or if the status light for 12 V flashes 5 times
after the test is completed, this means the batteries are discharged and must be replaced
immediately
NOTE: A self-test cannot be carried out within 15 seconds after the previous self-test.
The self-test must be carried out before the product is used Check also that the product is working
properly by measuring a known voltage Do not use the product if the self-test or voltage measuring
are not working properly
ACTIVATING THE SELF-TEST FUNCTION
Allow the measuring tips to touch each other for about 3 seconds to activate the self-test mode The
status lights flash once in sequence, from the light for 12 V to the light for 400 V The test is finished
when all the status lights go off
NOTE: A self-test cannot be carried out within 15 seconds after the previous self-test.
Place the measuring tips on each side of the circuit or voltage source to be measured
The status lights show the measured voltage
The status and - go on when measuring AC voltage
When measuring DC voltage the status light + goes on if the positive measuring tip is connected to
the plus side of the measured circuit, and the status light - goes on if the positive measuring tip is
connected to the minus side of the measured circuit
If the measured circuit is without voltage the self-test can be activated, so that the status lights flash once in
sequence, from the light for 12 V to the light for 400 V
If there are no batteries in the product it can still measure DC and AC voltage, but the self-test will not work
