Description
The product is a solar powered decorative lamp for outdoor use. The product should be placed so that it
is exposed to as much sunlight as possible for maximum charging. The product has a rechargeable nickel
metal hydride battery (NiMH).
Positioning
The position, weather conditions and season affect the length of time that the batteries can power the
lamp. Place the product in full sunlight. Check that the product does not come in the shade during the
day, this will prevent the battery from being fully charged.
Use
The battery is uncharged on delivery. Place the product so that it is exposed to the sun for at least 48
hours to charge the battery. The product lights up automatically when it gets dark.
Storage
During the winter the product should be stored indoors, switched off and with a fully charged battery.
Charge the battery in accordance with the instructions before using the product again for the first time. If
the battery is not fully charged when the product is put into storage this can damage the battery. In which
case the battery must be replaced.
MAINTENANCE
Keep the solar panel free from debis and snow, etc.
Clean the solar panel regularly with a damp cloth.
Avoid scratching the panel.
Store the product in a clean and dry place indoors during the winter.
Do not expose any parts of the product to water.
Replacing the battery
The battery must be replaced when the time the lamp stays gets shorter. Be careful not to strain or
damage the wires when replacing the battery. Remove the old battery and insert a new one with the
correct polarity. Only use the same type of battery as the old one. Recycle used batteries in accordance
with local regulations.
