SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions carefully before use!
If you look at the sun through binoculars, you could suffer permanent eye damage. Never look directly at
the sun, either with or without binoculars.
OPERATION
Adjusting to the distance between your eyes
Adjust the distance between the eyepieces so that it corresponds to your own interpupillary distance
(IDP) by holding the two halves of the binoculars and turning them until the field of view is one complete
circle. You can see the setting on the IPD scale. Note this setting for future use.
Focusing
1.
Close your right eye and train the binoculars on an object with your left eye. Adjust the focus by
turning the wheel in the middle of the binoculars until you see a clear and distinct image.
2.
Now open your right eye and close your left. Turn the right eyepiece until you see a clear and
distinct image. Note this setting for future use.
3.
Both sides are now focused, so you only need to use the wheel in the middle to adjust the focus
when looking at other objects.
Rubber eye cups
If you wear glasses or sunglasses, turn the eye cups down. The eye cups are comfortable and make it
easier to look through the binoculars.
MAINTENANCE
Put the supplied lens caps over the eyepieces and lenses when you are not using the binoculars
(lens caps are not supplied with compact binoculars).
To clean the lenses, use the supplied lens cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth.
To remove dirt and stains, moisten the cloth with one or two drops of isopropyl alcohol.
Keep your binoculars in a dry place.
IMPORTANT!
Never attempt to clean the inside of your binoculars. Never attempt to dismantle your binoculars.
