2. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Using the serialless firmware, your StromPi3 will remain in serialless mo-
de once it has been started.
CAUTION:
Once the Serialless mode has been started, the serial communication of
the StromPi is interrupted. No more changes can be made to the
configuration of the StromPi. All required settings have to be done
before. Only by reflashing the firmware, the serialless mode can be
terminated and settings can be changed again.
In serialless mode, an alternative communication route for the powerfail
warning is needed. With the StromPi3 Rev1.1, it is enough to set the
serialless jumper to ON. This will use GPIO21 of the Raspberry Pi for
alternative communication. If you have an older version of the StromPi3
that does not have this jumper, please refer to the Modifications section
of the main StromPi3 manual.
To start the serialless mode, you have to enable the serialless mode with
the help of the configuration script. Then you need to run the Reboot.py
script that you downloaded with the firmware. This will reboot your
Raspberry Pi and your StromPi. After this reboot, your StromPi is now
permanently in serialless mode.
The Reboot.py script can also be used in serialless mode to reboot your
StromPi.
3. USE OF THE FIRMWARE
