in the top crown.
• Mount the left and right side vents

•
Note that the vent opening shall face the front so that the

• If a shelf is being used
(extra equipment)
place it in

5.3 Assembly of the surround-
High model
Follow the same method as for the low model up to and including
fig. 5
.
Fig.8
Mount the cowling (with vent -
part 6
).
Fig.9
Place the top section
(part 7)
on top of the cowling, glue the
sections and attach the back plate
(part 9)
.
If the fireplace is to be free-standing the cowling and top section
must be mounted prior to the back plate. When mounting against
a firewall the upper back-plate may be omitted. (Or the upper
back-plate must be mounted first).
Place the steel plate and the
(part 14)
Rock wool plate
(part 15)
as
indicated in
fig. 9
. It is important that these are located correctly
in order to create a seal such that the ceiling does not become
too hot.
Fig. 10
Mount the upper top section
(part 9)
, the top crown
(part 10)
and
place the steel plate
(part 18)
on top.
Warning! In order to adjust the clearance to the ceiling the
uppermost section may be cut with an angle grinder.
Notice! Remember the air opening between the top section and
the ceiling.
5.4 Steel chimney
If top mounted steel chimney is to be used, an offset pipe of
80
mm
and an unisulated pipe must be installed ca. 1 cm through the
steel plate. From there a steel chimney must be used.
High modell:
Cut the Steel-/Rockwool plate
(part 14+15)
and fit
them around the steel pipe. It is important that these are located
correctly in order to create a seal to prevent the ceiling to become
too hot. See

6.0 Once the fireplace is
complete
See installation and user instructions for the Jøtul I
150
(cat. no. 220294) for use and maintenance of the fireplace.
A heat resistant classification label is supplied together with
the installation and user instructions. It contains the following
information: manufacturer, address, product name, catalogue
number, output and approval number (assigned). The classification
label may be placed on the back of the product or any other
suitable place.
6.1 Minor imperfections
After the fireplace has been installed you should smooth over
any minor imperfections or unevenness in the concrete using
the included cement filler.
• In order to achieve the best result the surround should
be rubbed down with fine sandpaper, smoothing any
unevenness or sharp edges prior to painting.
• Apply one coat of paint.
• Mix the powder (cement filler) with water to form a smooth
paste (with the same consistency as toothpaste).
• Smooth any unevenness, allow to dry and rub down with
fine sandpaper.
• If the imperfections are deep we recommend that you apply
the filler in applications in order to prevent the filler from
sinking.
• Paint once more with the desired colour.
