Disposal
In order to prevent false alarms, it is important that the battery is removed
from the EPIRB when it has reached the end of its life.
All parts of the EPIRB should be disposed of in a way that is not harmful for
the environment. It should not be disposed as normal waste and must be
handled in accordance with the applicable federal, state and local waste
disposal regulations in the country where the equipment is used.
