13 Using and Adjusting the Seat Restraint System

These steps are for both front and rear seats.

•  There are three height adjustment positions for the shoulder harness. Adjust the height to the closest height above your child’s shoulders.

•  To remove the shoulder harness, turn the plastic ends sideways and push them through the slots in the seatback. Reattach the harness at

the proper height by reinserting the plastic ends through the slots.

See Figure 13.1.

Ensure both straps are the same height.

•  To remove the crotch strap, turn the plastic end sideways and push it through the slot in the seat bottom. Reattach the crotch strap by

pushing the plastic end down through the slot.

•  To unlatch the buckle press the center button and remove the male ends of each buckle.

See Figure 13.2.

•  Carefully place the child in the seat with the shoulder straps over their shoulders and chest. Then place the crotch strap between the child’s

legs.

•  Bring the shoulder/waist buckles into the crotch buckle until the shoulder/waist buckles snap into place.

See Figure 13.3.

•  Tighten the waist belt to be snug around the child’s waist.

•  The shoulder, waist, and crotch straps may be adjusted using the sliding buckles on these straps.

!

WARNING

Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt. Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the restraint system.

The FRONT seat is not suitable for children under 3 months. The REAR seat is not suitable for children under 6 months.

16 Adjusting the Handlebar

The handlebar can be adjusted to 6 positions.

•  To adjust the handlebar simultaneously press both buttons located on the inside of the handlebar. See Figure 16.1.

•  While holding the buttons, adjust the angle of the handlebar to the desired position and then release the buttons.

14 Installing/Removing the Bumper Bar to/from the Front Seat

  See Figure 14.2.

•  To remove the bumper bar, press the outside buttons on each side of the seat frame.

See Figure 14.3.

Then pull the bumper bar away from

the seat frame.

15 Installing/Removing the Bumper Bar to/from the Rear Seat

•  To recline the seats, pull up on the recline mechanism and move the seatback to the desired position. See Figure 12.1.

• To adjust the seatback to its most upright position, pull up the recline mechanism and move the seat to the upright position.

NOTE: When the recline mechanism is pulled, the seat may also be pushed all the way forward.

!

!
