ASSEMBLY
Assembling and dismantling
the two--piece shaft
Assembly:
S
Loosen the coupling by turning the knob.
S
Align the tab of the attachment (A) with
the arrow on the coupling (B).
NOTE:
Make sure unit is assembled cor-
rectly as shown in this manual.
Fitting the J-handle
S
Clip the loop handle onto the shaft.
Note that the loop handle must be fitted
between the arrows on the shaft.
S
Slide the spacer into the slot in the loop
handle.
S
Fit the nut, knob and screw. Do not over-
tighten.
S
Attach the J--handle to the loop handle
using the three screws as shown.
S
Make a final adjustment of the handle to a
comfortable working position. Tighten the
bolt/knob.
WARNING:
To avoid serious
injury, only use grass blades/grass
cutters or trimmer heads with plastic
blades when the J-handle is fitted.
Never use saw blades!
S
Push the attachment into the coupling until
the attachment snaps into place.
S
Before using the unit, tighten the knob se-
curely.

Dismantling:
S
Loosen the coupling by turning the knob
(at least three times).
S
Push and hold the button (C). While
securely holding the engine end, pull the
attachment straight out of the coupling.

Fitting the harness
Proper harness and handlebar adjust-
ments must be made with the engine com-
pletely stopped before using unit.
WARNING:
When using a
brushcutter, it must always be
hooked securely to the harness.
Otherwise, you will be unable to
control the brushcutter safely.
This can result in injury to yourself
or others.
