OPERATIONS

1.  Locate the power cord on the back of the unit and plug in. The power cord can be pulled out until

the yellow mark is visible. DO NOT PULL OUT past the red mark on the cord.

2.  Turn on the vacuum by pressing the power button on the base of the canister. The vacuum starts
3.  After each use or when the dust cup reaches the MAX line, turn off the machine and remove the

dust cup from the base of the machine, by opening the lid and pulling up. To empty, locate the

yellow tab that says “push” and push to empty.

4.  When cleaning is complete, power off the vacuum by using the remote control on the handle

(placing it on standby). Then press the power button on the base of the canister to turn the vacuum

completely off.

5.  Unplug the vacuum from the electrical outlet.

Thermal motor protection

An internal thermal protector has been designed into your cleaner to protect it from overheating. When

the thermal protector activates, the main vacuum motor will stop operating. If this happens, proceed as

follows:
•  Turn the cleaner OFF and unplug from electrical outlet.
•  Check the cleaner for the source of overheating problem (i.e. full dirt cup, dirty filters or clog).
•  Fix the problem by following the steps in the maintenance section of the user guide.
•  When the motor cools for approximately 30 minutes, the thermal protector will reset and cleaning

may continue. If the cleaner will not turn on or the thermal protector continues to activate, your

cleaner may need servicing.
