6. Relay terminals have the designations NO, COM
and NC. Each relay output is independent and
isolated from the other and the relays COMs do not
connect to the device COM. See Figure 13.
Note:
The gas detector has two alarm or
control relays. The relays are Form C type with
both a normally open (NO) and a normally
closed (NC) contact. You can connect the relay
contacts to controller Digital Inputs (DI) to
monitor the status or use the relay contacts
to directly control an alarm or ventilation fan.
Do not exceed the device contact ratings.
For example, in certain cases you can use a
separate control relay between the sensor relay
and a large fan.
7. A temperature sensor is available either as a feed-
through with different sensor types, see Figure
14, or as an analog output available on TEMP and
COM terminals. See Figure 15. Terminals are only
present if you order the option.
