tain high productivity levels. The unmatched flexibility
offered by raised floor systems allows for significant
costs savings and reduced downtimes when a fast-paced
economy demands office space reconfiguration.
DWDI Airfoil Fans
High efficiency fans are used to improve application
flexibility, and address sound and application concerns.
Building Pressure Control
Return fans, exhaust fans, and barometric relief damp-
ers are available to meet building pressure control re-
quirements. Select the most appropriate option for a
given application.
Low Sound Options
Allow for application of the unit in sound-sensitive ap-
plications such as theaters and downtown areas. Con-
tact Johnson Controls for more details on site-specific
requirements.
Variable Frequency Drives
When a variable air volume (VAV) unit is ordered, it
comes standard with variable frequency drives (VFDs).
The VFD can optimize a systems performance by mod-
ulating the supply fan motor speed to reduce energy
consumption by as much as 40% while maximizing oc-
cupant comfort.
Fan Spring Isolation
Two-inch spring isolation is used to prevent vibration
transmission from the rooftop unit’s supply fan to the
building.
CONTROLS
Rooftop Controller
The ColdFire
™
processor-based controller uses the lat-
est in processor technology to provide the highest level
of rooftop control with BACnet
®
open protocol com-
munication capabilities. An 80-character display and
keypad are standard for simple, and easy to understand
manipulation of control setpoints and readout of oper-
ating parameters and diagnostics. Shutdown and alarm
faults are all recorded in memory, and include a time
and day stamp for easy troubleshooting.
BACNET
The Series 100 can be adapted to operate with any
building automation system that is BACnet compatible
making it the most flexible large commercial rooftop
units on the market.

DRAIN PAN
INDOOR AIR QUALITY
Double Sloped Stainless Steel Drain Pan
T
he standard stainless steel drain pan meets ASHRAE
62 requirements for condensate drainage to improve
indoor air quality. Solid wall liners encase insulation
and prevent moisture from damage. Additional benefits
include easy cleanability and isolates insulation from
conditioned airstream.
Double Wall Construction
Double wall construction is the standard construction
of the unit and incorporates powder coated pre-fabri-
cated outer panels and corner post for maximum exte-
rior surface protection.
Factory Shrinkwrap
All Packaged Rooftop Units can be ordered from the
factory with an optional factory-fresh shrinkwrap
packaging. This eliminates the contractor's worries
about dirt and debris clogging up condenser coils or
moisture leaking into the air handler on the units way
to the job site or rigging yard.
Demand Ventilation
Demand ventilation can be incorporated into the unit to
improve indoor air quality and help manage indoor pol-
lutants such as CO
2
or other harmful airborne contami-
nates out of the occupied spaces for maximum comfort
and safety. Activation of this sequence can easily be ac-
complished using CO
2
sensors connected to the unit. The
rooftop IPU board includes two analog inputs for sensors
to sense indoor and/or outdoor CO
2
levels to maintain
optimum occupant comfort and safety. CO
2
sensors are
typically used with demand ventilation; however other
sensors may be applied to control indoor contaminants
such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
