Status
Displays the state of the mapping. For example,
if the path direction of the map is connected it
will display as normal; if the path direction of
the map is not connected it will show as failed.
Vendor
The manufacturer of the host bus adapter
(HBA) i.e., Qlogic.
Host Node WWN
The World Wide Number assigned to the host
node, i.e., 20:00:00:e0:8b:80:6a:0b; more than
one host is OK (1st line in this example).
Port Node WWN
The World Wide Number assigned to the port
node, i.e. 21:00:00:e0: 8b:80:6a:0b; more than
one port is OK (1st line in this example).
LUN #
This can be any number either assigned by
default or you may choose the LUN number,
i.e., 0 (zero) in this example.
Permission
Gives choice of Read/Write or Read.

Informational Toolbar Button Details
This part of the Reference section will explain additional buttons on the tool bar
that give more information about the activity of your storage system. Previously,
in the Tutorial, Chapter 3, the action toolbar buttons were explained to learn how
to create or delete arrays, logical volumes, hot-spares, etc.
The remaining toolbar buttons to be explained include Jobs, Event Log, System
Configuration, Controller Configuration, and the Refresh button (see

The Job Manager
The Job Manager provides a glance of the current background jobs that are being
processed in real time. For example, you can easily check on any device to see
the type of activity that is being processed and its status. Access the Job Manager
to evaluate background jobs by clicking on the Jobs button in the tool bar (see
) to access the Job Manager window (see
