Once the array has been created, you can use the array icon and its drop menu for
several array functions (see
). The menu presents the following options:
Create Logical Volume, Delete Array, Expand Capacity, Dedicated Hot-Spare
Config, Initialize Array, Verify Integrity, Rebuild Array (if available for the
array's RAID level), Flash LEDs, and Properties. These will be detailed later.

When you have completed choosing the RAID level, the drives, and optionally, a
dedicated hot-spare, click Next to review the Summary Window (see
Figure 55.
Create Array Summary Window
The basic actions you need to create an array are: Click on a Create Array menu
in the tool bar button or right-click on the System icon, and click on a topic in the
drop menu. Then, use the Create Array Window to select a RAID level (see
), choose drives, set a dedicated hot-spare (see
the Array Summary Window (see

NOTE: If you try to create an array while Online Capacity Expansion is in
progress, you will get the following message. Please see Expanding the
