Assembling the board
To assemble the board refer to the component list and the Board overlay image 1
The component list is a generic list and the components can be obtained from
whichever source the builder prefers.
There are no custom components required to build the board although the builder
is responsible for sourcing or creating the required ROM code for U1.
Although not shown in the Bill of Materials it is strongly recommended that
sockets are used for the all the IC’s.
1)
Start by fitting IC sockets if sockets are to be used.
2)
Fit the resistors.
3)
Fit the capacitors.
4)
Fit the DIL switch
5)
Fit the IC’s (Note that the ROM will need to be programmed).
The board is now assembled and ready to test.
Note that the DIL switches can be used to select banks of code in the ROM in 8K
blocks.
It is the responsibility of the builder to source components and ROM code.
Board Jumpers
Fit a wire link to the left and centre pin of JP1
DO NOT fit any links to JMP2
Wire Links
Fit wire links between the following points.
1)
U9 pin 14 to U10 pin 12
2)
U2 pin 14 to U10 pin 13
3)
U10 pin 11 to U4 pin 13
4)
U4 pin 12 to JP2 centre pin.
5)
U9 pin 3 to U9 pin 4
6)
U9 pin 3 to U9 pin 16
