S T E P 1 2
Using a Unibit, enlarge the pilot hole to 1/2”.
Before drilling, always make sure that you are not
going to be drilling into any gas lines, brake lines,
tires, transmission lines, electrical wiring, exhaust
systems or anything else that might cause a reduction
in your weekly pay.
Always wear eye protection when drilling!
S T E P 1 6
Position the padding and trunk liner back into place. Cut a
hole in the location of the 3/8 - 16 x 2-1/2” Hex Bolt . Reinstall
the padding and trunk liner allowing the 3/8 - 16 x 2-1/2” Hex
Bolt to pass through the hole.
Reinstall the two Torx screws into the plastic trim. Reinstall
the inner fender panel and two star nuts from the outside.

Place another 3/8” Fender Washer over the 3/8 - 16 x 2-1/2”
Hex Bolt as shown.

Using a 1/8” drill bit, drill a pilot hole on the mark made in the
previous step.

Place a 3/8” Fender Washer over a 3/8 - 16 x 2-1/2” Hex Bolt,
and slide the assembly through the hole from the outside.
Inside, thread another 3/8” Fender Washer, a 3/8” Split Lock
Washer, and a 3/8 - 16 Hex Nut over the 3/8 - 16 x 2-1/2” Hex
Bolt, and firmly tighten.

Measure and mark down 3/4” from the mark made in the
previous step.
