RADIO OPERATION
Antennas
• For FM and SW reception, this device is equipped with a telescopic antenna (7). Pull the telescopic antenna
out completely and turn it in the direction in which you get the best reception.
• For AM and LW reception, a ferrite antenna is integrated into the radio. Position the radio in such a way that
the reception of the radio stations has the best possible sound quality.
Turning the radio on and off
• Make sure that the keylock is turned off. The
LOCK
switch (13) must be
in the
OFF
position.
• Press the
ON/OFF
button (6) to turn the radio on. The frequency range
and the set radio station frequency will be shown in the display (11)
(fig. 3).
• To turn the radio off, press the
ON/OFF
button again. The time will be
shown in the display.

• Press the
BAND/AL.SET
button (16) to select from four frequency ranges:

Setting the station manually
• By continuously pressing the
DOWN
(3) or
UP
(2) button, it is possible to manually search through the radio
stations.
• Each time the button is pressed, the frequency increases by 0.05 MHz for FM, 9 KHz for MW (AM),
0.005 MHz for SW and 1 KHz for LW.
• If you select the SW frequency range, then you can skip closer to the desired frequency with the
SW METER
button (9). Then press the
DOWN
(3) or
UP
(2) button to set the exact frequency of the station.
• Use the manual method to fine tune weak or distant stations which are not automatically registered by the
radio.
Automatic station selection
• Hold the
DOWN
(3) or
UP
(2) button for approx. 2 seconds to automatically search for the next lower or
higher radio station. Pressing the same button(s) will stop the automatic search. Repeat the search until the
desired station has been found.

Please note:
During the search, the sound is automatically turned off.
