3. Turn the polarizer until you get the off position, that is, the position of the polarizer where the light filters
the least (you should get a dark gray tint). Fix the polarizer using its screw on the light unit in this
position. From this setting, the position of the polarizer should no longer be changed. The polarizer setting
depends on the analyzer-polarizer pair. As far as possible, the analyzers should remain positioned on their
original microscopes.
4. To make an observation in LPNA (polarized light not analyzed) turn the analyzer to 0 °. To make an
observation in LPA (polarized light analyzed) turn the analyzer 90 °. If you want to observe your slide without
polarization, turn the analyzer to 0 ° and slide the polarizer filter to the side.

After Each Use
- Turn off your microscope.
- Wrap the power cord around the cable tidy at the rear of the microscope.
- Rotate the head to 180° so as to reduce congestion.
- Put the protective cover.

Transport
Before moving your microscope around, make sure that the eyepieces are well
fastened in their eyepiece tube. Grasp the microscope from the top with one
hand.
Put it carefully on a stable working table.
