5.3 Validating monitoring with test pulses
If monitoring of the STO inputs is undertaken by means of the usage of ex-
ternal test pulses, for instance by means of the usage of the TP generator
in the supply unit, this aspect is to be validated in the following cases:

During commissioning After changes to the application

After repair or device replacement
Table 1 0 shows the test steps to be undertaken, the table is to be worked
through from top to bottom.
