Using the Remote Control
2. Making Moves
• USE THE SCREWDRIVER TO OPEN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT COVER ON THE BACK OF THE REMOTE CONTROL.
INSERT 2 AAA BATTERIES. REPLACE THE COVER AND SECURE BY TIGHTENING THE SCREW WITH THE SCREWDRIVER.
* THE REMOTE CONTROL NEEDS TO BE PAIRED WITH THE VEHICLE UPON FIRST USE AND AFTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT.
TO PAIR THE REMOTE CONTROL WITH YOUR SAFARA MAX:
1. PRESS AND HOLD THE MATCH BUTTON FOR 2 TO 4 SECONDS. THE LED LIGHTS WILL FLASH.
2. TURN THE SAFARA MAX ON USING THE POWER SWITCH ON THE VEHICLE DASHBOARD. (SEE PAGE 51 OF THIS MANUAL.)
THE LIGHTS WILL TURN SOLID TO INDICATE THAT THE PAIRING WAS SUCCESSFUL.
3. IF THE LIGHTS CONTINUE TO FLASH, THE PAIRING HAS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL.
REMOVE AND REINSERT THE BATTERIES AND REPEAT STEPS 1 AND 2.
• AFTER 10 SECONDS OF NON-OPERATION. THE REMOTE WILL GO INTO POWER-SAVING MODE.
