5. INSTALLATION
Mounting on a concrete wall or ceiling
The awning must be installed at a minimum height of 2,5 m on a reinforced
concrete wall or ceiling. If you have any doubts, please have the installation
done by professionals.
Make sure the chosen wall or ceiling is plane, so the brackets will
hold solidly in it.
WARNING: At least two healthy adults are required to move and
install the awning.
For safe and smooth installation, you should have a plan on how to
secure the awning to the wall before you start.
Choosing the ideal installation height
When planning on where exactly to install your awning, the drop height must be
considered. The drop angle can still be adjusted after the awning is already
mounted onto the wall. Anyway, the ideal drop angle, is already preadjusted at
the factory and probably requires no more than minimum alteration. The total
drop area varies depending on the respective awning-model.
We recommend that the awning front bar has a minimum height of at least 2,5
m above floor-level when fully extended. If you intend to mount the awning
above a balcony or patio-door, you should leave a minimum space of at least
20 cm between front bar and door frame.
