Calibration range
After selecting this option, the following window appears:
Select the measuring range by moving the cursor to the desired option
using the arrow keys. Subsequently, press

Depending on the VARIOSCAN high resolution model, the following
measuring ranges are available:
Aperture B1 B2 B4 B8 B16 Fi
3021 (°C) -40...100 40...400 100...800 200...1200
3022 (°C) -10...100 40...200 100...400 300... 800 500...1200 -10...100
On Model 3022, selection of „Fi“ moves a bandpass filter into the
optical path. This filter has a transmission range of 3 ... 5 µm. Use this
setting when you work with this camera outdoors in the sunshine.
Emissivity
Entry of the global emissivity value. This value is taken into account in
temperature calculation. The parameter is material-specific considering
the emissivity of the object.
Environmental temperature
This is the temperature of objects in the ambience of the measured
object emitting heat radiation that might be reflected at the surface of
the measured object. This radiation will affect the object temperature
measured by VARIOSCAN
high resolution only if the set emissivity is
less than 1.
