Operation
3
Reference listed part numbers, in parenthesis, to the
tool breakdown on pg.1.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
1. Move the jack into position under the vehicle.
2. Turn the release valve knob (5) clockwise to fully
close the pressure valve.
3. Move the pump handle (6) up and down to raise
the saddle toward the transmission.
4. Adjust the saddle’s forward tilt knob (4) and the
side tilt knob (9), by turning them clockwise or
counter-clockwise to align with the shape of
the transmission.
5. Adjust the jaws (3) and the chains (2) to secure
the transmission on the saddle.
6. Secure the chains with the included hooks and
wing nuts.
7. Remove mounting hardware, driveshaft, and
disconnect any speedometer cables and cooling
lines if you have not already done so.
8. Carefully remove the transmission from the
vehicle. Be aware of any nearby wires or lines
that may make contact when lowering.
9. Turn the release valve knob (5) counter
-clockwise slowly to lower the saddle. Bring the
aaddle down slowly.
10. Reverse this procedure when reinstalling
the transmission.
Maintenance
The hydraulic cylinder assembly contains hydraulic
fluid that must be kept at approximately 80% of full
at all times for proper operation. See the steps below
to check the level and fill when necessary.
1. Tum the pressure valve knob (5) counter-
clockwise to lower the saddle.
2. Allow the saddle to lower completely.
3. Unscrew the air valve (10).
4. Check the fluid level through the air valve opening.
The hydraulic fluid must be approximately 80%
of the capacity of the hydraulic cylinder.
5. Fill with clean hydraulic fluid only.
6. Replace the air valve.
Lubrication
• Lubricate the threads of the forward tilt knob (4)
and the side tilt knob (9) with #2 tube grease
when necessary.
