The following fields appear in the C-Bit category of the DS3 test results
screens.

Errors

Number of parity errors detected since initial DS3 C-bit
frame synchronization.

C-Bit Par %

EFS

Ratio of error-free seconds, expressed as a percent-
age, during which no C-bit parity errors were detected
to the total number of seconds while DS3 C-bit frame
synchronization is present.

C-Bit Par

ES Type A

Number of seconds during which one and only one
C-bit parity error occurred since initial DS3 C-bit frame
synchronization.

C-Bit Par

ES Type C

Number of seconds during which more than 44 C-bit
parity errors occurred since initial DS3 C-bit frame
synchronization.

Err Rate

Ratio of C-bit parity errors to (1) the number of bits
over which C-bit parity was calculated (Bit mode), or
