S e c t i o n 4
This section provides disassembly and reassembly
instructions for the Taiko PUB-7/11 Banknote
Acceptor Series. This section contains the follow-
ing information:

MAG Circuit Board Removal (PUB-11)
•
Transport Drum Removal
•
Sensor Circuit Board Removal
•
Encoder Board and Drive Motor Removal

Entrance and Exit Solenoid Removal
Tool Requirements
The following tools will be required to perform dis-
assembly and reassembly:
•
#1 & #2 Phillips Screw Drivers
•
Medium Flat Blade Screw Driver
•
E-Ring Holder
•
Needle Nose Pliers
Bezel Guide Removal
To remove the Bezel Guide, proceed as follows:
1. Remove two (2) mounting screws (Figure 4-1
a
1
&
a
2
) located behind the Bezel Guide.
2. Separate the Bezel Guide (Figure 4-1
b
) from the
Front Bezel (Figure 4-1
c
).
CPU Circuit Board Removal
To remove the CPU Circuit Board, proceed as fol-
lows:
1. Insert a medium size Flat blade Screw Driver into
the gap located on the left or right side area (Fig-
a

&
a
2
) of the Upper Guide Cover (Fig-
b
), and lift the Upper Guide Cover up and
off the Unit.
2. Unplug the four (4) Harness Connectors (Figure
a
1
to
a
4
) from the CPU Circuit Board (Figure
3. Remove the two (2) Mounting Screws (Figure 4-3
c
1
&
c
2
) retaining the CPU Circuit Board in place.
4. Lift the CPU Circuit Board up and off the Unit.

Taiko Bezel Guide Removal
NOTE: Insert the new Bezel Guide
into the Bezel, replace and tighten
the two (2) mounting screws that
secure the Bezel to the Bezel Guide.
WARNING: Tightening the screws
with too much force can damage
the Bezel. The necessary torque
is 6.196 inch-lbs (0.7Nm).
