CA-16 CONTROLLER
FUNCTIONS
(FRONT)
1. CHANNEL BUTTON:
There are 16 channel buttons, each button has the same
function for the corresponding channel.
•
Just press the button once to switch on the corresponding output channel from
the connected DMX switch pack.
•
Press the button again to switch off the corresponding output channel of the
connected DMX switch pack.
2. CHANNEL INDICATOR:
Shows the output state of the corresponding channel:
•
Indicator is ON: channel output is switched on.
•
Indicator is OFF: channel output is off.

3. DMX OUTPUT:
used to connect one or more standard DMX switch packs. Please
use good quality DMX cable to make the connections.
4. DC INPUT:
connect the supplied AC/DC adapter to this input. If you should use
another adapter, please make sure that it has 9Vdc and minimum 800mA with + in
the center.
5. POWER SWITCH:
Used to switch the unit ON/OFF
6. AC/DC Power adapter:
AC 230V, 50Hz

CONNECTIONS
You can connect any number of DMX switch packs to the DMX output of the CA-16.
However the DMX-signals from the CA-16 controller use fixed addresses from 001 to
016. So if you use 4 switch packs with each 4 channels, you will have to use the
following start addresses on these switch packs: 001, 005, 009, 013.
Note that if you need more than 16 channels, you will have to use a second CA-16
controller with a separate DMX-signal cable.
Example of a setup with CA-16 and four SW-416 switch packs:
