1.0 Engine safety instructions

Read owner’s manual carefully and follow all directions. Be
thoroughly familiar with the controls and the proper use of the
equipment. Know how to disengage the controls and stop the engine .
2.
Check fuel before starting the engine. Never fill fuel tank when engine
is running or hot. Fill fuel tank outdoors. Replace gasoline cap tightly
and wipe off and spilled gasoline before starting the engine.
3.
Dress properly. Wear safety glasses or goggles. Do not wear loose
clothing or jewelry that could get caught in moving parts. Pants,
gloves and safety footwear are recommended.
4.
Keep operation area clear of all persons, particularly children and
pets.
5.
Never operate on wet grass. Keep both hands firmly on the handles
when blade is rotating, and walk, never run. Keep feet away from
cutting area. Watch what you are doing and use common sense.
6.
Do not attempt to remove cut material when engine is running or
when cutting member is moving. Shut engine off, wait until blade
comes to a complete stop and disconnect the spark plug wire before
clearing material that may clog blade guard or cutting member. Never
hold any material to be cut.
7.
Have repairs made by a qualified dealer or repairman. Use accessories
and attachment supplied or recommended by the manufacturer. See
that only identical replacement parts are used
