14.4 Auger On/Off Control (All Models)
All A50 and A100 model augers (except skid steer model) are controlled using either a manual or
electronic valve (refer to section ‘
’ for control locations). Auger
rotational speed can be controlled by altering the engine speed. However, decreasing the engine
speed too much will also decrease the output torque which under heavy loads could cause the
engine to stall.
A50 skid steer model augers are controlled using the external hydraulics from the skid steer
loader. Hydraulic fluid is redirected from the auger motor to power the door cylinder when the
hydraulic door control rocker switch is in operation. Once the hydraulic door control rocker switch
is no longer activated the hydraulic fluid will be redirected back to the auger motor.
14.5 Steering (A50 and A100 Self-Propelled Models)
The A50 and A100 self-propelled models incorporate a reliable mechanical steering system.
Rotation of the steering wheel controls the direction of the machine. The machine is capable of
turning almost 90 degrees in either direction (see
NOTE – DO NOT attempt to rotate the steering wheel while the mixer is not moving. This
applies a tremendous amount of stress on all of the steering and wheel components and
could reduce the lifespan of the system.

2. Steering Tire
– The hydraulically powered steering tire can be turned nearly 90
degrees either way which allows the mixer to turn almost on the spot if necessary.
14.6 Throttle Control (A50 and A100 Self-Propelled, Trailer, Truck Mounted Models)
All A50 and A100 models which are powered by an internal combustion engine will have engine
speed control. The A50 and A100 trailer and truck mounted throttles will be controlled directly by
the engine throttle control lever. Locations are indicated in section ‘
’.
The A50 and A100 self-propelled engine throttle is controlled remotely using a lever on the
control console near the steering wheel/spinner.
