Starting the cooking process
When you have made the desired settings ,
Start
flashes.
M
Press
Start
.
A band of light runs around the display to indi-
cate that the cooking process has started.
If the end of the cooking process is configured,
the remaining time until the end of the cooking
process is shown on the display.
If a cooking time is configured, the remaining
cooking time is shown in the display during the
cooking process.
NOTICE
– material damage due to hot surfaces
If you open the lid and take out the pot during
the cooking process, the configured program
continues. Therefore, always stop the configured
program or the cooking process when you have
finished cooking to prevent the appliance from
overheating.
Stopping the cooking process
When the configured cooking time has ended
and the cooking process has automatically
stopped, 4 beeps sound and the keep warm time
is counted up in the display.
If you want to stop the cooking process before
this or a cooking time cannot be configured,
proceed as follows:
During the cooking process,
Keep
warm/Cancel

appears in the display and
Menu
flashes.
The appliance will return to Standby mode.
Keeping food warm
The Keep warm function starts automatically
in every program once the cooking process is
finished.
The display tells you how long the dish has been
kept warm already.
The Keep warm function switches off automati-
cally after 24 hours and the appliance switches
to standby mode.
Switching the appliance off
WARNING
– electricity
To disconnect the appliance from the mains
completely, remove the mains plug from the
wall socket.
NOTICE
– material damage due to hot sur faces
If you remove the mains plug from the wall
socket during the cooking process and then
plug it back in, the previously configured
cooking program continues.
Always stop the configured program or the
cooking process before you switch off the
appliance and remove the plug to prevent the
appliance from overheating.

Danger of burns/scalds
• Always place the appliance on a solid, heat-
resistant and level surface that is not sensitive
to splashes. If necessary, place a non-slip mat
under the appliance. Make sure that the appli-
ance cannot slip or overturn and that the mains
cable is not dangling from the surface on which
it is placed.
• Do not move the appliance while it is in use and
do not pull on the mains cable.
• CAUTION
Do not cover or obstruct the steam vent.
Do not touch the steam vent when cooking.
• Steam escapes from the opening in the lid
during operation. Keep your hands and face
away from these – there is a risk of scalding!
• The cooking process does not stop if you open
the lid during cooking. Be very careful when
opening it.
• Be aware of steam escaping when opening the
lid and make sure that people standing near
the appliance keep a safe distance away. Hold
the appliance securely only by the handle if you
would like to stir the contents.
• The steamer, pot and inner lid remain very hot
for a while after use. Be careful and use oven
gloves or similar. Be careful when taking it out!
• Be very careful if you move the appliance while
it contains hot liquid.
• After cooking, hot condensation may drip out
of the steam vent if the lid is open.
• Allow the appliance to cool down completely
after use and before cleaning it or packing it
away.
Warning - risk of injury
• Only use the steamer provided to steam food.
• Do not keep cooked meals warm in the appli-
ance for more than 12 hours.
Material damage
• Do not use the multicooker on a hob or in an
oven.
• If you open the lid and take out the pot or
remove the mains plug from the wall socket
and then plug it back in during the cooking
process, the configured program continues.
Therefore, always stop the configured program
or the cooking process when you have finished
cooking or before you switch off the appliance
and remove the plug. This will prevent the ap-
pliance from overheating.
• Be sure not to damage the coating of the pot
(for example while stirring or cleaning). If the
coating becomes damaged, the pot should no
longer be used.
To stir the contents of the pot, only use the
spoon provided or cooking utensils made of
wood or plastic. Do not use metal implements!
• Make sure the appliance is placed somewhere
where the escaping steam cannot damage
wallpaper, hanging cupboards or similar.
The appliance must have at least 30 cm free on
all sides and above it.
• Do not use caustic or abrasive agents or hard
brushes, etc. for cleaning.
