About these instructions
Read these instructions carefully before using the device. Note the warning on the device and in the
operating instructions. Use this machine only for its intended use as described in this Instruction Manual.
Always keep the Instruction Manual close at hand. If you sell the equipment or give it away, make sure you
also hand over these instructions and the warranty card.
Never allow children to play with electrical equipment
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Ensure that the machine and its mains cable are kept well out of the reach of children and pets.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Keep presser feet and
needles away from children’s reach. Keep plastic packaging out of the reach of children. There is a risk of
asphyxiation.
Handling the machine safely
Danger from electricity
Always unplug before replacing a sewing machine bulb. Replace bulb with same type rated 240 Volts 15
Watts BA15D.
An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Always unplug this sewing machine from
the electric outlet immediately after using.
To disconnect, switch the device off, then remove the plug from the outlet. Disconnect the power cord plug
from the electrical outlet and switch the machine off when making adjustments such as threading needles,
changing needles, needle plate, bobbin, bobbin holder, or presser foot.
Ambient conditions
1. Do not use the machine outdoors.
2. Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
3. Do not expose the machine or machine plastic case to sunlight directly. Also, do not keep it in a very
warm or damp place.
4. Do not expose the machine to water or moisture.
5. Never operate the appliance with any air opening blocked. Keep ventilation openings of this sewing
machine and foot controller free from accumulation of lint, dust and loose cloth.
