Removing the Front Cover

Remove the three small front frame screws

Tools: 

3 mm handle hex wrench; may need a 3 

mm L-hex wrench to break loose the screws.

1.  Unplug the machine.

2.  Use the 3 mm hex wrench to remove the 

three frame screws (circled). 

Remove the thread mast

Tool

: 3 mm handle hex wrench

1.  Loosen and remove the two screws in the 

thread mast.

2.  Remove the thread mast.

Loosen or remove the three power plate screws 

from the bottom of the front cover.

Tool:

 

2.5 mm handle hex wrench

1. Lift the machine and carefully lay it on its side 

    while taking care to not put pressure on or bend 

    the machine encoder.

2. Loosen or remove the three screws on the bottom

    power plate from the front cover.
