* It is considered as working condition when all of the steps are in correct condition.
* After adjusting or replacing faulty part(s), the same step must be checked again to make sure that the
machine works properly.
9. Stepping motor (St)

[Correct condition]
1) When the memory button is
pressed with the needle bar at
“UP” position, the needle bar
vibrates and the the needle drop
is set at “M” position. (zigzag
stepping motor)
2) When the memory button is
pressed with the needle bar at
“Middle” position and the presser
bar lifter is lowered, the tension
disc is closed. (tension stepping
motor)
3) When the memory button is
pressed with the needle bar at
“DOWN” position, the feed dog
vibrates and the feed dog is in
the middle of its travel. (feed
stepping motor)
Press the “Clear” button to proceed
to the next step.
[Correct condition]
1) When the presser bar is lowered
and the foot control is depressed,
the driving motor runs.
2) When the bobbin winding button
is pressed, the bobbin winding
motor runs.
[Faulty condition]
The machine does not initialize and
the LED shows [E1].
Check if there is any tight spot in
the mechanism.
Check the corresponding sensor.
Replace the zigzag stepping motor
and/or circuit board A.
The machine does not initialize and
the LED shows [E3].
Check if there is any tight spot in
the mechanism.
Check the corresponding sensor.
Replace the tension stepping motor
and/or circuit board A.
The machine does not initialize and
the LED shows [E2].
Check if there is any tight spot in
the mechanism.
Check the corresponding sensor.
Replace the feed stepping motor
and/or circuit board A.
[Faulty condition]
The LED show [Lo] when the driving
motor does not run.
Adjust the motor belt tension.
Replace the motor and/or circuit
board A.
