Congratulations on Your New

JangleBox JB2 Byrds LE Compressor!

This limited edition compression pedal pays homage to

The Byrds, the great ’60s band whose guitarist, Roger

McGuinn, helped inspire the JangleBox sound. A fantastic

update, the new JB2 Byrds LE  is the complete realization

of the original JB2.
With the new J-Boost tone control, the clean, striking

graphics and all the great features of the original JB2, this

is the only true boost-and-tone, two-stage compressor on

the market today. Handmade in the USA, the JangleBox

JB2 Byrds LE delivers the distinctive compression edge for

demanding pros and aspiring artists alike.

Getting started with your JangleBox JB2 Byrds LE

As every guitar-and-amp combination is different for each guitarist, you’ll want to experiment

with the

JB2 Byrds LE

settings. We suggest first adjusting the

Bass

 and

Treble

 to your desired

tone. Next, turn the

Gain

 and

Attack

knobs to the “2 o’clock” position, then tweak the compres-

sion to your satisfaction from there.

n

   The

Gain

setting adjusts volume and amount of compression. The

Attack

 setting adjusts

the intensity of compression.

n

   The

JangleBoost

is the second stage of the

JB2 Byrds LE

that can be used to create a dif-

ferent tonal variation and up to a 25-30 dB boost. Adjust the

J-Boost Gain

 for soloing, or

the

J-Boost Tone

for sounds ranging from warm bass to ultra-bright treble. You can acti-

vate the

JangleBoost

so that it comes on when you hit the main On/Off switch.

n

   The

J-Boost Gain

 and

J-Boost Tone

settings function only when the

JangleBoost

 is

switched on (blue light). See the back panel for further explanation.

n

When daisy-chaining a series of additional pedal effects, you should place the

JB2 Byrds

LE

first in the sequence (plug your guitar into the

JB2 Byrds LE

) to take full advantage of

its true bypass.

n

Use any standard 9V pin negative power source or the 9V battery included with each unit. If

you use a 9V battery to power your pedal, compression will decrease as the  battery wears.

Remove the six screws on the underside of the box to replace the battery.
